Women in Mining Ghana
Women in Mining (WIM) Ghana was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in 2015. Our main purpose is to serve as an advocacy body for all women working in the mining sector — Industry, Academia and Government — by offering training, mentorship, networking and research projects. WIM incorporates women from upstream to downstream across the entire resources value chain.
WIM Ghana is an organization dedicated to promoting the role of women in the mining sector. Established to address gender disparities in the industry, WIM Ghana is a vital platform for women to network, share experiences, and advocate for their rights and interests within the mining community — bringing together a diverse group of members committed to advancing women's roles in the sector.
Through advocacy, capacity building, networking, and community engagement, our members are making significant strides toward achieving gender equality in mining. Their collective efforts empower women and contribute to the overall sustainability and development of Ghana's mining industry.
